Art Monaco, 24 – 27 April

Art Monaco is celebrating its fifth year as the fastest growing contemporary and modern art fair in the French Riviera. Opening this week and running 24-27 April, the fair is dedicated to promoting contemporary and modern art in an elegant environment. Attracting art and culture enthusiasts from all over the world, visitors will find themselves in a world of exclusive art works in the Grimaldi Forum of Monaco.

Over the four day event Monte-Carlo will be awash with remarkable works of art. More than 70 international galleries will be in attendance, presenting over 4,000 exhibits. As such, Art Monaco offers guests the opportunity to buy or sell collections, while reveling in a large selection of inspirational art. There will international participation from countries such as Germany, Armenia, Austria, Columbia, China, Poland, United Kingdom, Sweden, France, Monaco, Russia, Czech Republic, Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Spain, Netherlands, Lebanon, Estonia, Italy, Ukraine, Brazil, United States, Israel, Switzerland, amongst others.

This year’s edition features work from a variety of outstanding artists. Photographer Kristian Schmidt’s whale sharks images will be on display, while art from Mauricio Velez (Columbia), Jerzy Kedziora (Poland), Pavel Mitkov (Russia), Hakobyan Hrachia (Armenia) and many more will also impress audiences. The different practitioners involved represent a variety of art forms, covering sculpture, photography and painting.

Art Monaco is open to the general public, but there will also be a number of black-tie previews and private openings. These specialist events allow visitors to purchase artworks in an exclusive environment. In addition, Opus Eventi in collaboration with G.E.O. will host a Gala Dinner on Saturday 26 April at the Hotel de Paris, where part of the proceeds are for the benefit of La Association Les amis du Liban à Monaco; as well as L’Association d’art, de la Culture et de la scène A.M.A.C.S. This will also be the night when Art Monaco present the Awards of Excellence to shine the spotlight on those galleries promoting the industry and presenting quality exhibitions.
