The Other Art Fair 2016, Bristol

One of the UK’s best-loved fair to meet and buy art direct from fresh talent and undiscovered artists, The Other Art Fair (TOAF), returns to Bristol’s waterside Arnolfini this weekend. Running from 22-24 July, the fair presents a total of 80 practitioners from across the UK, all of which have been handpicked by a select committee of art industry experts.

Recognised for its unique visitor experience, TOAF’s 12th edition promises to engage and inspire art experts and aficionados with a dynamic line-up of displays and special events. A platform for the ‘unexpected’ the fair is the ideal place to pick up a new piece for your collection or admire the latest innovations emerging from today’s contemporary art scene.

Beginning with the Private View on 22 July, TOAF continues throughout the weekend, inviting audiences to discover a new breadth of creatives working in a variety of media from painting and drawing to sculpture and installation. Accompanying the Exhibiting Artists programme is prolific street artist Ben Eine. Attendees will be able to purchase a six colour limited edition print, entitled P for Pirate, inspired by Bristol’s legendary pirate tales. As this year’s Bristol Guest, Eine will reveal his career highlights in an exclusive artist’s talk on Saturday 23 July at 4pm.

Additional events include Spike Print Studios Bristol’s 40 for 40, a display pf 40 original prints commemorating the organisation’s 40 years as one of the South West’s leading open access print studios, and Debussy’s BitterSuite where audiences can experience a colourful string quartet like never before through taste, touch, smell and movement. In 2016, TOAF Bristol is also teaming up with  Upfest, one of Europe’s largest live street art festivals, to transform the walls of venues spread across South Bristol.
