An Abstracted Vision

An Abstracted Vision

German-born photographer Bill Brandt (1904-1983) is known for capturing the diversity of life in Britain through bold images and strong use of contrast. Developing a striking visual language, the practitioner used a wide-angle lens to craft unique interior and exterior compositions – including nudes and architectural images – from new perspectives.

Bill Brandt – Works runs at Michael Hoppen Gallery, London, from 20 November-19 January. Find out more here.
