Aesthetica Creative Writing Award: Stav Poleg, What Time, Shortlisted Poem

An internationally renowned competition, the Aesthetica Creative Writing Award attracts submissions from emerging and established writers from around the world, and in 2015, the prize received more than 2,500 entries from over 40 countries worldwide. The 2016 annual showcases a broad collection of poetry and short fiction by reputable and promising talent, including shortlisted author Stav Poleg and her poem What Time.

First published in South Bank Poetry, 21, Summer 2015, What Time is one of 40 poems featured in the Creative Writing anthology. Poleg works in a variety of genres and styles, and her poetry has been featured in journals such as Poetry Ireland Review, The Rialto, Magma and Poetry Wales. Her theatre work has been performed at the Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh, the Greenwich Theatre and the Shunt Vaults, London, and her graphic-novel piece Dear Penelope (with artist Laura Gressani) was acquired by the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art.
