Celebrating 100 artists and their contribution to the Aesthetica Art Prize, the Future Now Anthology sees a wealth of art practitioners at their very finest. Featuring both emerging and established artists, the anthology features a variety of media including painting, drawing, three dimensional design, sculpture, photography, film, installation and performance.
The shortlisted and longlisted artists in the Aesthetica Art Prize are published within the annual, giving them a unique platform on which to showcase their work to new audiences. Through a combination of statements and imagery, Future Now invites readers into the minds of the artists themselves, allowing us to delve further into their ideas, and cultural and social contexts. Themes addressed include political, socio-economic, cultural and environmental issues.
The publication also includes short essays from leading figures in the art world, such as previous Winner John Keane, curator Sophie Raikes from the Henry Moore Institute, Chris Littlewood from the Flowers Gallery and Vanessa Corby, Senior Lecturer in Fine Art at York St John University.
