Global Hubs

Global Hubs

Photography by Aesthetica Art Prize 2019 shortlisted artist Giulio Di Sturco reflects upon how the world might look and feel in the future. Aerotropolis, The Way We Will Live Next explores an urban location with its layout, infrastructure, and economy centred around an airport.

“I explore new and hybrid forms of architecture, technology, societies and identities in climates of environmental and technological evolution,” Di Sturco explains. “These global hubs have been an experiment for society – they have created new kinds of livelihoods and communities and will shape business location and urban development in the 21st century.”

On view as part of the Aesthetica Art Prize Exhibition, 8 March – 14 July. Find out more here.
