A Question of Exposure
Fashion photography is commonly characterised as a fast-moving collective expression, resulting in a practice that rarely extends beyond its commercial origins to create innovative and distinctive narratives. Canadian photographer, Tina Chang, creates images that transcend their component parts to create a world where fantasy and desire dominate. Inspired by Miles Aldridge, Sebastian Kim and Gray Scott, Chang’s beautiful and arresting visual stories have been featured in Fashion Gone Rouge, The Fashionisto and L’Officiel India. Chang is currently based in Abu Dhabi, where she works for The National’s M Magazine. The following images are a selection from her extensive portfolio, combining a clean and modern aesthetic with a specific lighting style to capture images that are fascinating and memorable.
